A friendly reminder of incidents or reporting protocol within the BCCFA.
It has been brought to my attention that there may be some confusion within the clubs, parents and spectators of the correct way of reporting concerns or complaints.
Individual clubs are responsible for their executives, coaches, trainers, volunteers, players, spectators and club operations. The clubs must follow the rules and policies of their respective leagues.
Club operations complaints must go to the club president first for consideration and resolution if possible. Club presidents, we ask that you refrain from bringing operations issues to the BCPFA, unless it is a specific Return to Play question that requires clarification.
If there is not an acceptable resolution, at the club level, then the matter may go to their league/zone president for discussion and resolution.
If the league/zone president is unable to resolve an issue it can be brought to the BCCFA level for confidential discussion and clarification purposes only.
After this issue is clarified, the league/zone president will communicate the resolution/decision back to the club president and participants.
I can appreciate that clubs may have new leadership and are unaware of the protocols within the community football family. Please note that the BCCFA is the governing body of community football and we are primarily responsible for hosting provincial championships.
