In the contest between the Langley Rams and the Valley Huskers of the BCFC junior game at McLeod Athletic Park, 4 women were assigned to work the football game - Desiree Abrams from Washington DC (Back Judge), Tracy Paluzzi Richmond BC (Down Judge) were on the field to officiate the game, while Karen Madill (Game Observer) and Brittany Anderson (Time Keeper) were up in the Booth. Desiree, Tracy and Karen has previously worked together duringthe 2017 World Women’s Championships.
Desiree Abrams is a NCAA Div 2 official working the Eastern US region. Desiree is also the assistant replay official for the NFL in Baltimore Maryland. She traveled across the continent to officiate two BCFC games, one Saturday between Kamloops Broncos and VI Raiders in Nanaimo, and the Huskers Rams game Sunday night.
Tracy Paluzzi is a Level 3 official formally from Montreal, Quebec, relocated to Richmond, BC via Ontario. Tracy’s father Ron Paluzzi is a retired USports Official who currently serves on the executive of the Canadian Football Officials Association.
Karen Madill, while currently retired from the field, has joined the officiating department as a game observer and holds an executive position with the local FOA.
Brittany Anderson is a Community Football official who works for the CFL as the game-day Ball Co-ordinator and is also the spare 20 second clock operator and spare timekeeper at BC Lions games. Brittany also works at many venues timekeeping BCFC games as well as games from UBC. Brittany comes from a family of Officials, her father Carey Anderson is a retired 18 year CFL official & current CFL Supervisor of officials. Brittany's brother Tayler is a CFL Prospect working University Sport and BCFC games.
